You Matter Patient Advocacy Group supports individuals and families affected by MASLD, MASH, and liver disease, particularly those who face barriers to diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care.
We work with:
- Individuals with suspected or diagnosed MASLD, MASH, or fatty liver disease seeking guidance, education, and advocacy.
- Patients living with complex health conditions where liver disease intersects with metabolic disorders such as diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.
- Individuals navigating both physical and mental health care, especially those whose medications or conditions may increase the risk of fatty liver disease.
- Caregivers and families supporting loved ones living with liver disease or complex metabolic conditions.
- Underserved and high-risk communities, including individuals living in poverty, rural areas, and those experiencing limited access to healthy foods, preventive healthcare, and specialty liver care.
We also recognize that mental health conditions and certain psychiatric medications can increase metabolic risk factors, which may contribute to MASLD and MASH. Because of this, we are committed to advocating for individuals whose social, economic, and health circumstances place them at higher risk for liver disease, ensuring they have access to education, support, and equitable care.
Our goal is to make sure that no one facing liver disease—regardless of background, location, or circumstances—has to navigate the healthcare system alone.
