Peer Support & Empowerment

At You Matter Patient Advocacy Group, we understand that receiving a diagnosis such as MASLD, MASH, or NASH can feel overwhelming and even frightening. Many people are left with questions about what the diagnosis means, how it may affect their future, and what steps they should take next. Facing liver disease can feel isolating—but you do not have to go through it alone.

Our Peer Support & Empowerment services connect individuals living with liver disease to others who have walked a similar path. Speaking with someone who understands the experience of navigating MASLD or MASH can make the journey feel less scary and more manageable. Knowing that others have faced the same challenges—and are here to support you—can provide reassurance, encouragement, and hope.

Through peer support, we provide compassionate one-on-one guidance, helping individuals prepare for medical appointments, understand their diagnosis, and explore care options. We also help patients build confidence in their ability to advocate for themselves and actively participate in decisions about their liver health.

In addition to individual support, we can also connect patients with liver disease support groups and community networks, creating opportunities to share experiences, learn from others, and build meaningful connections.

Our goal is to help individuals move from feeling uncertain and alone to feeling informed, supported, and empowered as they navigate life with MASLD, MASH, or NASH. Because when people come together and share their experiences, support becomes strength.
