At You Matter Patient Advocacy Group, volunteers play an essential role in helping us support individuals and families affected by MASLD, MASH, NASH, and fatty liver disease. Whether you are a patient, caregiver, healthcare professional, student, or simply someone who cares about improving liver health, your time and voice can make a meaningful difference.

We believe that lived experience matters. Individuals who are living with liver disease—or who care for someone who is—bring valuable insight, empathy, and understanding to the advocacy work we do. Volunteers who have navigated liver disease themselves often help others feel less alone by sharing knowledge, support, and encouragement.
We welcome volunteers with any level of experience in advocacy, as well as those who are interested in learning. Opportunities may include helping with patient education initiatives, peer support programs, awareness campaigns, community outreach, research and policy efforts, or assisting with events and advocacy initiatives.
By volunteering with You Matter Patient Advocacy Group, you help amplify patient voices, increase awareness of liver disease, and support efforts to improve access to care and resources for those affected by MASLD and MASH.
Together, we can help ensure that no one faces liver disease alone—and that every patient knows they matter.
