You Matter Policy Collective

You Matter Policy Collective is the policy and civic advocacy initiative of You Matter Patient Advocacy Group, dedicated to ensuring that the voices of individuals living with MASLD, MASH, NASH, fatty liver disease, and other liver-related conditions are represented in healthcare policy discussions. Real change in healthcare happens when patients and families participate in shaping the policies that affect access to care, treatment, prevention, and research.

Through the Policy Collective, we work to educate patients about important federal legislation, connect advocates with opportunities to engage lawmakers, and amplify the real experiences of people living with liver disease. Advocacy is one of the most powerful tools patients have to improve healthcare systems and expand access to lifesaving treatments.

Why Patient Advocacy Matters

Policies like these move forward when patients, caregivers, and advocates speak up. Sharing your experience with liver disease can help lawmakers understand the real-world impact of delayed diagnosis, limited access to specialists, and barriers to treatment. When patients engage in advocacy, it helps shape legislation that improves care for future generations.

One of the most important steps you can take is to connect with your local representatives and let them know why liver health policies matter to you.
